The Czech Baseball Association has released a 22-man roster for the upcoming European Championship in Stuttgart, Heidenheim and Neuenburg (July 23-August 1). As you can use 24 players during the European Championship it is quite possible that the CBA leaves the door open to add two more of their professional players besides Jan Rehacek to the roster.

The squad led by head coach Arnost Nesnal will conclude preparations for the tournament in Germany at the Prague Baseball Week from July 13 to 17 at the Krc facilities, a venue of last year’s Baseball World Cup. Opponents at the home ballpark of the Eagles Prague will be the Czech Junior National Team, Russia, Austria, Croatia, Israel and an American selection.

The German Baseball and Softball Federation released a 25-man player roster for the upcoming European Championship in Stuttgart, Heidenheim and Neuenburg (July 23-August 1) on Tuesday. Germany is slotted into Pool A together with the Netherlands, France, Ukraine, Belgium and the Czech Republic.

The only new guys on the team in comparison to last year’s Baseball World Cup are Cedric Bassel, Dominik Hartinger, Klaus Hopfensperger and Moritz Sckaer. Besides the four professional players Kai Gronauer, Donald Lutz, Max Kepler-Rozycki and Jennell Hudson, also missing are former Minor Leaguer Michael Franke, Octavio Medina, Marvin Appiah and Andy Janzen.

Dirk Fries, who is injured, is going to be an assistant coach on the staff of head coach Greg Frady. The only player on the squad not playing in the German Baseball-Bundesliga is Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez of Telemarket Rimini, although Sckaer and Martin Dewald spent time at a college earlier this year.

The German National Team will hold a training camp in Heidenheim from July 12th to 18thbefore the start of the tournament, including at least one exhibition game against Belgium. Afterwards they have to cut one of the 25 players for the final roster.

Lu sur Mister baseball: Rehacek vient d'etre liberé de sn contrat professionnel par l'organisation des Twins. Il retourne dans son pays la Republique tchéque,ceci explique peut etre pourquoi il est aligné dans le roster tchéque!
Toujours est-il que voilà un européen de moins employé par une franchse américaine.....Espérons que Hanvi ne subisse pas les meme foudres par les dirigeants des Twins.
Le fait de le voir relegué en outfield,combiné à son catastrophique début de saison au baton me semble inquiétant.....car un champ extérieur sans bon baton,ca me parait pas super viable au honivo

Comme tous les deux ans en gros. Que ce soient les italiens, les anglais, les espagnols, les allemands, etc..., il y a toujours des joueurs naturalisés ou des doubles passeports dans les rosters.

quelqu'un connait-t-il un lien eurosport 2 car ca fait une heure que je cherche et j'en ai trouvé aucun. Mon seul moyen serait de payer pour un mois via canal sat on dirait!!!
